Welcome to the website of St. James Catholic School! St. James is an elementary school serving students from Junior Kindergarten to grade 8. We offer both the regular English program and the French Immersion Program in a Christ-centered environment.

Our school is situated in the friendly town of Lively, Ontario. Our location is ideal and provides teachers and students numerous opportunities for school outings and community relationships. We are located at walking distance from St. Pius X Catholic Church, the community arena, the public library, the wildlife rescue centre, Anderson Farm Museum, the ski hill, etc. Our beautiful school yard is adjacent to a picturesque farm and lovely community park.

Our school boundaries extend from Lively to Naughton and the Whitefish 1st Nation. We offer Core French as well as Ojibwe language courses to our students.

St. James offers a solid education based on the Ontario Curriculum and the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations. Teachers and administrators work hard as a team to provide every child every possible opportunity to learn and succeed in a safe and loving environment. Parent volunteers play a important part in the school and are always welcome and encouraged to join the school council or the strong team of volunteers who help teachers and students during and after school hours.
